North Lake Volleyball Begins Season Aug. 21
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake volleyball team will begin the 2026 season Aug. 21 at the Lee College Invitational.
The Blazers, under 14-year head coach Cathy Carter, will play nine of their first 12 matches away from home. At the season-opening tournament, they will see the likes of McLennan Community College, North Central Texas College, North Idaho College and Panola Junior College over the two days in Baytown, Texas. After hosting Collin Community College in the home opener Aug. 24, North Lake entertains Arlington Baptist University and Temple College to finish the month of August before hitting the road for another tournament.
North Lake will compete in the College of DuPage Invitational Sept. 5-7 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. There, the Blazers will meet DuPage, Joliet Junior College, Rock County College, Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute and Sandhills Community College.
North Lake hosts DuPage Sept. 17 in a battle of recent years' nationally-ranked teams.
The Blazers open Dallas Athletic Conference action Sept. 21 at home against Dallas College Mountain View. The first road DAC match is Sept. 24 at three-time defending DAC and national champion Dallas College Eastfield.
Following a home nonconference match against Lee Sept. 25, the Blazers will play out the remainder of their schedule against league opponents, beginning with Dallas College Brookhaven Sept. 28 at home. They finish the first half of conference play at Dallas College Cedar Valley Oct. 5.
In the second half of league action, the Blazers host Eastfield Oct. 12 and Cedar Valley on Sophomore Night to finish the regular season Oct. 22. They have road matches at Mountain View, Brookhaven and Dallas College Richland in the second round.
The NJCAA Division III South District Tournament is set for Oct. 28-31 at the site of the DAC regular season champion.
