Renaja Taylor has worked as an assistant coach at Dallas College North Lake. She assists with coaching, player development and team administrative duties.

Taylor coached with the Blazers in 2022 and resumed in 2025.

In 2025, the Blazers went 12-16 overall, 4-6 in the Dallas Athletic Conference with a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District semifinals. Ava Mendez was named an NJCAA Division III Second Team All-American after cracking the school's season digs list at No. 5, while setting the school's five-set record for digs. Hailey Pennison finished her two-year Blazers career ranked No. 1 on the school's all-time kills list, Katie Lloyd No. 2 on the career aces list and No. 5 in career digs, while tying her single-match record for aces. 

As a player, Taylor set a record for kills in a match at North Lake, pounding 26 on Oct. 8, 2018. She had 359 kills that season, which was third among Blazers season leaders.
