Blazers' Home Opener Set for 9:30 a.m. Monday

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake baseball team's home opener is set for 9:30 a.m. Monday against McCook Community College.

The Blazers will also host Murray State College at 3:30 p.m. Monday. McCook and Murray State will play at 12:30 p.m.

North Lake opened the season last weekend in a three-game series at Louisiana State University-Eunice. Carlos Pirela and Carter Mach had two hits apiece last weekend. Jeremy Kennard and Ryan Branch each had one. Jackson Earle drove in a run. Lefthanded pitcher Nicholas Arriola fanned three batters in two innings. Right hander Jackson Jones struck out two in 2.1 innings of work.

Monday signals the beginning of a three-day, five-game homestand for the Blazers.

North Lake received votes in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III preseason rankings.
