Burt First Team All-DAC, 4 Blazers Second Team
DALLAS – Dallas College North Lake's baseball's Parker Burt was voted First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference.
Blazers teammates Harrison Golden, Leo Salas, Michael Holden and Matthew Wendorf received second team honors.
A freshman catcher from Mansfield, Texas, Burt hit .303 with 15 doubles, seven home runs and 48 runs batted in. He had 20 multi-hit games, with a season high of four when he cranked two home runs and had seven RBI in a win over Dallas College Cedar Valley. He threw out 14 of 37 runners attempting to steal.
A sophomore infielder from Sugar Land, Texas, Golden batted .386 with 16 doubles, three triples, two homers, 50 RBI and 15 stolen bases. He had a season-high four hits in three games, and went 10 for 13 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, nine RBI and a stolen base in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament.
A sophomore right fielder from Haltom City, Texas, Salas hit .330 with 22 doubles, a triple, six home runs, 46 RBI and seven stolen bases. He had 23 multi-hit games, with a season-high four, including three doubles, in a win at Cedar Valley.
A sophomore catcher/first baseman from Fairview, Texas, Holden batted .291 with 12 doubles, a triple, eight home runs and 37 RBI. He 15 multi-hit games, including a season-high four with three doubles, in the win at Cedar Valley.
A freshman left-handed pitcher from Bedford, Texas, Wendorf went 4-4 with a 3.77 earned run average and 40 strikeouts in 20 appearances. He did not allow a run in nine outings, and had a season-high six strikeouts against Dallas College Mountain View.
