Loan Named NJCAA DIII Pitcher of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College North Lake's Dylan Loan was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore right-hander from Hockley, Texas, Loan struck out five batters and allowed one hit, without surrendering a run or walk in 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief against NJCAA Division I Vernon College last week. He picked up his first win of the season in the NJCAA Division III No. 4-ranked Blazers' 9-6 victory at home.

Loan (1-0) entered the week with one save and 14 strikeouts in 13.2 innings this season.

The Blazers will host Dallas College Mountain View in a pair of games Friday and Saturday at noon.
