Edwards Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Jordan Edwards was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-7 freshman forward from Dallas, Edwards averaged 14.7 points, shooting 46 percent from the field, while pulling down 21 rebounds and coming away with three steals and a block as North Lake went 3-0 with a pair of wins over two National Junior College Athletic Association Division I opponents. He had 15 points and six boards, shooting 7 of 12, in a win over Redlands Community College. He had 18 points and seven boards and two steals in an overtime win over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.

Edwards is averaging 10.3 points and 6.6 rebounds this season.

North Lake (7-5) will begin DAC play 6 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas College Mountain View.
