Carter Collects Final DAC Player of Week in 2025
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College North Lake's Romiel Carter was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
A 6-foot-4 freshman forward from Carrollton, Texas, Carter scored 20 points, and grabbed a season-high matching 13 rebounds and had three steals in a 74-73 win over Dallas College Cedar Valley. He sank the gamewinning free throw with 3.9 seconds left. Carter went 8 for 10 from the floor, and grabbed six offensive rebounds. It was his fourth double-double of the season, and marked the seventh time he's scored at least 20 points this year.
Carter is averaging 16.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 65.4 percent from the field.
North Lake (9-6, 2-1 DAC) is off through the holidays, and will return to the court Jan. 3 when the Blazers play at McLennan Community College.
